Standby Enabled icon

Standby Enabled icon

The MileCatcher app displays an icon in the Android top bar. We call it "Standby enabled."

Why is it there? What does it do? Can I remove it?

The icon is an Android OS requirement to flag that our app uses an Android background service to help MileCatcher start up when you drive. We use this service to increase accuracy of your trip log's start times and location, while protecting your phone battery when not actively in use. This feature ensures the app doesn't always run in the background.

This icon CANNOT be removed by you or by MileCatcher. It is a Google requirement.
